Kaghan Valley
Kaghan is a jewel among the many beautiful valleys in the Mansehra District of Hazara in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan. This 160 kilometer long valley is most popular summer holiday spots for both Pakistanis as well as foreigners.
The valley features pine forests, alpine meadows, crystal clear lakes and cool mountain streams. Kunhar River, the main feature of the valley, is famous for its trout. Nestled along the banks of the river are the towns of Balakot, Paras, Mahandari, Kaghan and Naran. The local people are friendly and simple. Gujar nomads are one of the most interesting features of the Kaghan Valley. They take their herds of cattle to the high pastures of the upper Kaghan Valley in spring and bring them down again in autumn. While going to Kaghan you will find them camped along the road in their traditional tents or moving up and down the valley with their herds of pack animals, sheep and goats.

The trek to Sharan originates from Parash, a small bridge over the River

swollen by glacier melt, passes through this village as it meanders its way
 through the valley.
The village is major tourist spot. It has over 100 hotels of various types ranging from high-end luxury hotels to very low priced motels.
Tent motels are also present which rent family size tents to tourists to stay in. Usually tourists stay at Naran to visit popular tourist spots nearby such as Lake Saif-ul-Malook and Lalazar which can only be accessed via 4x4
jeeps which can be hired for day exertions. PTDC also has a motel situated in the north of village which can accommodate people on different tariffs, from average rooms to costly huts besides the River Kunhar.

Lake Saiful Muluk
Saiful Muluk is the top attraction of Kaghan Valley; most visitors to
Nran pay a visit to this legendary lake. Along the side valley to the east of
Naran, a 10 km jeep track leads through a picturesque valley. You cana also walk up the eight km trek in about three hours. But this option is only for those who are fit enough to climb about 3000 feet to sea level.
Saiful-Maluk. It is five mile away from Naran at height of 10,500 feet (3200.40 meters) above sea level. This lake is easily accessible by jeep or by trekking. For trekking you need around two hours and you would be at your destination. I also opted for trekking and it was fun.
On your way to this lake, you need to cross one huge glacier. Crossing this glacier is also fun. It is simply impossible to describe beauty of this lake in words. I can never forget those moments that I spent at lake Saiful-Maluk. Its like some thing out of this world. And my feeling was like if I can stay for more time at this beautiful lake. The Queen of the Mountains "Malka Purbat" peak at height of 17,360 feet (5291.33 meters) is standing in the east and looking her image in the mirror of Lake Saiful Maluk. Saiful Maluk is blue water lake in shape of bowl.

Lake is approximately 54 kilometers away from Naran and has an altitude of 10,910 feet (3,330 m). Surrounded by wildflowers in almost all
colors imaginable, this lake is the main source for the Kunhar River. Lake Lulusar is said to be one of the most tranquil spots on the Kaghan Valley, the lake is fenced by snow capped mountains whose image is reflected on the standstill blue-green waters of this approximately three kilometers long "L" shaped lake

Dudipat  Lake:
Lake is enclosed with high peaks. It is one of the hardest places to reach in the valley, requiring a tough hike lasting seven to nine hours. The hike is rewarding, as tourists are greeted with green pastures and the lake's blue-green waters. The way two Basties one is Galma ke basti a three homes and taken the food facility & 2nd is Mulla ke Basti. NINE HELLS OF BEPPU - JAPAN

Thursday 11 August 2011 0 comments

Beppu, located on the Japanese island of Kyūshū, is the second largest producer of geothermal water in the world. Located in the same area are the “Nine Hells” or ponds that each has its own remarkable character and colour thanks to the variety of minerals in the outflows. These “Hells” are a popular tourist attraction in Japan but are little known outside of the country. Seven of the strange geothermal springs are located in the Kannawa area and are known as: Sea or Ocean Hell (Umi Jigoku), Shaven Head Hell (Oniishibozu Jigoku), Cooking Pot Hell (Kamado Jigoku), Mountain Hell (Yama Jigoku), Devil or Monster Mountain Hell (Oniyama Jigoku,) Golden Dragon Hell (Kinryu Jigoku) and White Pond Hell (Shiraike Jigoku). Sadly, as with many incredible natural wonders, the area surrounding it has become over commercialised and “tacky”.

GREAT BLUE HOLE OF BELIZE

Found on both land and in the ocean throughout the Bahamas and the national waters of Belize are deep circular cavities known as Blue Holes which are often the entrances to cave networks, some of them up to 14 kilometres in length. Divers have reported a vast number of aquatic creatures some of which are still new to science. In addition, they’ve recorded chambers filled with stalactites and stalagmites which only form in dry caves. For the explorers this was proof that at one time, nearly 65,000 years ago, when the world was in the grip of the last major ice age, the sea level of the Bahamas was up to 150 metres lower than it is today. Over time the limestone of the islands was eroded by water and vast cave networks created. When sea levels rose again about 10,000 years ago some of these collapsed inwards and the Blue Holes were formed

SUQATRA ISLAND - YEMEN

This enchanting and little known island also known as Socotra is located off the coast of Yemen in the Middle East. Isolated from the rest of the world its plants have evolved into many bizarre shapes and forms that are unknown in other parts of the world. One of the most famous of these is the Dragon's Blood Tree the sap of which is used to make crystals that can be used as a dye or as an alleged aphrodisiac. The plant depicted on the right is the strange Desert Rose (Adenium obesium) but sometimes more popularly called the Elephants Leg Tree. The Island is slowly becoming known to the world and has great potential for eco-tourism as long as the visitors don't do more damage than good. Other species include the Cucumber Tree and the Socotran Fig. Suqatra was listed as a World Heritage Site in 2008.

SANQINGSHAN - CHINA

Sanqingshan is a relatively small National Park near the city of Shangrao in the Jiangxi province of China. What it lacks in size it makes up for in shear natural beauty. It is officially the 7th World Heritage Site designated in China and has been noted for its exceptional scenic attraction. The key mystique of this remarkable place is the combination of extraordinary granite geology in the form of weird outcrops and pillars combined with seasonal climate variations than often cause mists, fogs and striking sunsets. Those that have visited this place describe a feeling of overwhelming peace and tranquility. This effect is enhanced by the profusion of natural waterfalls, pools and springs. If you allow yourself, it is truly possible to see Earth, Water, Wind and Fire joined in time.
